NCP to provide regular allowance to central committee members and full-time cadres
Kathmandu. Spokesperson of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Narayan Kaji Shrestha informed that there had been a discussion in the meeting of the party secretariat about providing monthly allowance to the central committee members.
Talking with DCNepal he said, “There has also been a discussion regarding financial assistance to the full-time cadres of the party. We are not talking about providing financial help to all but to the needy. Such provision was in the party before too.”
The NCP Central Committee has 447 members at present.
“There have not been decisions as to who will receive the assistance and what the expenditure will amount to,” he added.
When asked about the source for the proposed regular allowance, he replied that the party was planning to manage the expense from the levy collected from the elected representatives, ministers and party cadres.
“We will manage it through the party’s own source of income,” he answered with certitude
