Ranipokhari gets filled with water after five years (Photo Feature)
Kathmandu.The reconstruction of Ranipokhari has reached its final stage. Ranipokhari that was left dry since the last five years, with the help of Nepal Drinking Water Corporation, is being filled with thirty million liters of water. The water was transported from Sundarijal via Chabahil, Mahankal and Ringroad and it was then stored in the Panipokhari reservoir. The pipeline constructed for the Melamchi drinking water was used to transport it.
Ranipokhari holds great historical, cultural and religious importance. The National Reconstruction Authority coordinated with the drinking water corporation to complete the task for the successful implementation of the project. The reconstruction has not yet been completed but the view is breathtaking and beautiful. The reconstruction authority plans to complete it by this Tihar.
