Severe restrictions in Britain for people not following self-isolation rules

The second wave has hit England with more severity than what was previously expected, and the British government consequently has announced that it will be imposing hefty fines on individuals who do not observe the set rules of self-isolation. As per BBC, penalties starting from £1,000 to £10,000 will be levied on people who ignore this “legal duty” of containing the spread of the coronavirus. According to the report the highest fine will be put on those who disregard other’s need for self-isolating and become a hindrance for people who were trying to follow the standards.

Official figures have pointed towards a bleak picture with the government deciding to tighten the security protocols. Another report has claimed that last Saturday alone accounted for around 4,422 new cases , and based on the statistical representations presented in the article the numbers have been slowly rising since July after seeing a dip in April.
