Samsung Galaxy Note 20: losing shine earlier than expected in the US
Kathmandu. Samsung’s latest Galaxy Note family seems to lose its sales in the US which serves another blow to the tech giant, a large share of whose market has already been overtaken by the Chinese company Huawei.
According to a new report from Counterpoint Research, in the first week of September, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G and the Galaxy Note 20 5G placed fourth and eighth, respectively, in terms of sales. The three best-selling devices during this period were all Apple-made.
Experts review that Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20 does not justify its price tag of 999 dollars. It has an inferior built quality compared to Apple’s iPhone 11 and customers are opting for iPhone 11 Pro Max rather than spending 1300 dollars for a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
Samsung is planning different marketing gimmicks to gear up the Note sales. Alongside numerous deals, the company is promoting virtual consultations and touchless in-store device demos. Samsung knows it is difficult to shell out more than 1000 dollars from the customer’s pocket during a pandemic. (Agency)
