Corona cases reach a new high in Nepal: 2,722 new patients recorded in a day, 1,638 in capital

Kathmandu. The number of individuals affected by Covid-19 in Nepal has drastically risen within a day. Friday has recorded an addition of 2,722 patients, with 1,638 new people in the capital itself. Dr. Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population delivered the information today during the daily press briefing.
According to the Ministry, until today, 60,696 corona patients have recovered and 21,234 patients are currently undergoing treatment. Out of the 1,638 patients affected in the capital, 1,280 are from Kathmandu, 162 from Lalitpur and 196 are from Bhaktapur. As per the report, 14,739 have conducted PCR tests in the last 24 hours.
