Bharatpur. A rhino has been found dead in Chitwan National park. Information Officer Ashok Ram of the park told that the dead rhino was spotted in the currents of Narayani River near Lamichaur at Nawalpur.
“Though there have been guesses about the rhino having died naturally a month or two ago, the fact can be ascertained through postmortem only,” Ram said.
The horn of the rhino is intact. Earlier, on September 6, another one-horned rhino had been found dead in the park. There have already been four rhino mortalities in the park this fiscal year.
