Cabinet of Kuwait resigns
Kuwait City. The Cabinet of Kuwait led by Kuwait’s prime minister resigned on Tuesday. Prime Minister Sabah Al Khalid Al Sabah submitted Cabinet’s resignation to the country’s ruler, Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Cabinet resignations in Kuwait happen frequently when senior government officials are grilled by elected lawmakers or submit a no-confidence vote. This time it’s not the case, however. The state controlled Kuwait News Agency reported that the Cabinet resigned considering the general election taking place in November.
The Emir of Kuwait has praised the efforts of the prime minister and the ministers in performing their tasks and instructed the government to continue carrying out its duties. He said that it was the duty of the present government to complete preparations for the upcoming legislative election.
