Norvic Hospital operationalizes COVID Intensive Care Unit
Kathmandu. Norvic Hospital has started the operations of its COVID Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The Chairman of the hospital, Basant Kumar Chaudhary, revealed the news through his social media handle.
A team of experts will be at standby at the newly inaugurated ICU, dedicated to helping patients who have contracted the virus and are in need of immediate care. The 15-bed ICU is located in a new building beside the main building of the hospital. Prior to the announcement, Chaudhary had also mentioned that he would be making a donation of NRs. 10 million to the government fund established for preventing and controlling the spread of the virus. He has, additionally, stated that he will be providing NRs. 5 million worth of medical equipment and an additional NRs. 5 million in cash to combat the COVID-19.
