Blood Donor Mainali felicitated by a Member of Congress in the US
New York. A Member of the United States Congress has felicitated Arjun Prasad Mainali of Nepali community residing in New York. Thomas Suozzi, the US Representative for New York’s 3rd district has sent a letter of felicitation to Mainali on October 13, appreciating him for his valuable contribution.
The letter mentions that Mainali’s contribution is not limited just to blood donations but that he has done humanitarian service impacting the world by organizing blood donation drives and making people aware about blood donation and its importance.
Wester Way Town, New York had announced to celebrate December 22 as ‘World Blood Donor Arjun Mainali Day’. Mainali told DCNepal that the Congressman had sent him the letter of felicitation on behalf of the constituents of the 3rd Congressional district of New York in the same context.
Mainali has donated blood 186 times in 33 years. Earlier, he had been felicitated by New York Town and the New York State Assembly. With the addition of Congressman Suozzi’s appreciation, he has become a proud Nepali personality to be honored at the local, state and central, all three levels of the US.
