BOP set up at the transit point in north Sindhupalchok

Kathmandu. A border outpost (BOP) has been set up at Tatopani, the transit point in north Sindhupalchok by the Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal
As per National News agency (RSS), the border outpost was set up on Wednesday, at Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality, ward no 2, Tatopani, in the presence of Brigade Chief, APF Deputy Inspector General Mandip Shrestha and other high ranking security officials.
The BOP is close to the Tatopani Dry Port and Customs Office. It has a temporary arrangement at present and shares a barrack, toilet and a building of the APF No. 22 Company Headquarters (Revenue-Customs Security Patrol).
The BOP will conduct patrolling along the border. Tatopani BOP’s Police Inspector Keshav Kumar Shrestha informed that the BOP has been assigned the responsibility of border security and rescue works at times of natural disasters.
