New price for empty gas cylinders
Kathmandu. The President of the Nepal L.P. Gas Industry Association, Gokul Bhandari has informed that the gas sellers around the country have been charging random prices up to Rs. 3,500 for empty cylinders.
In order to bring uniformity in prices, the Association has introduced a fixed rate of Rs. 2,100 for the empty gas cylinders. However, “the new rates will not be applied to the remote areas” said Bhandari. The Association claimed that it will not take responsibility for the cylinders without the customer deposit receipt, therefore, requesting buyers to obtain the receipt from the dealer, when purchasing the cylinders.
The Association has also announced that strict actions would be taken against the illicit trade of its gas cylinders with cylinders of other companies.
