“People with masks are catching it all the time,” Trump comments on COVID-19 precautions

Kathmandu. The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump has been seen without masks in various events.  On September 26, during a program at NBC News Town hall, President Trump and first lady were seen without masks.

Recently, after he claimed that he has recovered from the virus, he pulled off his mask and threw it at the audience during an event at the John Murtha Johnstown–Cambria County Airport. During the town hall debate yesterday as well, he mentioned, “What I do is outside is a big thing. And if you look at those, people, they really are wearing masks. I’ll tell you, I looked last night in Iowa — there were many, many people wearing masks. But then you see CDC comes out with a statement that 85% of the people wearing masks catch it.”

Fact checkers at AP news commented that he may have misunderstood the study’s findings. The study was conducted on a small sample size. In this case that has been referred continuously by Trump about 85% of people from around a total of 150, who had contracted COVID-19 had claimed that they often wore masks.

The Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the USA has been saying that the world is battling a deadly virus and a vaccine to combat the pandemic is yet to be found. The agency has also mentioned that a face mask is the most effective way to prevent the spread of the disease in the current times.
