Islamabad (Agency). Opponents of Imran Khan, prime minister of Pakistan, have staged a massive demonstration against him and the government. The opposition parties have formed an alliance to overthrow Khan.

The alliance had passed a 26-point proposal and prepared an outline for a mass movement to oust Khan from power. Parties in the alliance are Pakiltan Muslim League (Nawaz), Pakistan People’s party and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazal).

After the leaders of the coalition were brought under the scanner for corruption by the government and the investigation started, they united in their agitation against Imran Khan. Recently there had been a conference of the opposition parties which was addressed virtually by Nawaz Sharif, former Pakistani prime minister and leader of Pakistan Muslim League. He is currently in London for treatment.

Sharif alleged that the Pakistan Army had interfered in politics and that the government had become a puppet in the hands of the army. The former prime minister was found guilty in corruption charges and at present is in London in bail. He is facing a lifetime ban from parliament.
