MPs returning Dashain allowance after public criticism
Kathmandu. The government’s decision of providing the Member of Parliaments (MPs) Dashain allowance has faced severe criticism. Instead of minimizing expenses, the government has distributed an extra month’s salary as Dashain allowance.
After the social networking sites became rife with denunciations for the allowance, the lawmakers have started to put it back in the government coffer. One among those returning the pay is Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Far West in-charge and MP Bhim Rawal. He has notified about it in a social networking site.
Similarly, chief whip of Nepali Congress Bal Krishna Khand has also returned the allowance and informed it through social networking site.It is learned that some other MPs have also made plans of giving the money back,
