CM Poudel of Bagmati Province tests positive for coronavirus

Kathmandu. The Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Dormani Poudel, has tested positive for the coronavirus infection.
“His throat swab had been collected on Wednesday and the result on Thursday proved about his being infected with the virus,” Dipak Niraula, member of the Provincial Assembly of Bagmati Province informed DCNepal.
According to Niraula, the CM had been experiencing mild cough and cold symptoms for some days and was at home isolation following health safety protocols.
One of Poudel’s personal security personnel, a driver and a cook have also been infected. They have not experienced any complications, Niroula said.
“The CM is taking rest at home. He has mild symptoms of common cold,” he told.
