Mahendranagar. With an objective of creating a comfortable festive environment in Kanchanpur prison, Laljhadi Rmral Municipality has provided a Dashain goat along with fruits and flattened rice to the prison.
Chairman of the rural municipality, Madan Sen Wadayak said that they had provided Dashain goat as the meals provided by the government were not tasty and sufficient. Similarly, Nepali Congress leader and then Constituent Assembly member Diwan Singh Bista also handed over a Dashain goat to the prison.
The holding capacity of Kanchanpur Prison is less than 100. However, there are more than 300 inmates in the jail. (Rajendra Prasad Paneru/RSS)
