FIR registered against 12 in NCP cadre Chaurasiya murder case
Kathmandu. After a week of the murder of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) cadre Mukesh Chaurasiya of Bindabasini Rural Municipality of Parsa, the police has registerd the First Information Report (FIR) today. Earlier, the police had not accepted to register the report on the grounds that the name of an uninvolved person was included.
Investigation and further police proceedings have begun with the registration process. Chief of Parsa Police SP Ganga Panta informed that Mahesh Chaurasiya, brother of the deceased, has filed complaint through the District Government Attorney Office accusing 12 people of the murder, including former lawmaker Raj Kumar Gupta, Dhiraj Chaurasiya, Lachhuman Chaurasiya and Chintu Tiwari among others.
The NCP cadres of Parsa had protested and demonstrated continuously against the refusal by the police to register the complaint earlier. NCP Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal and senior NCP leader Madhav Kumar Nepal had also demanded for actions against the culprits.
Chaurasiya had succumbed to the injuries he had received in a clash during the swearing in ceremony of the NCP Bindabasini committee on Thursday.
