Lahan. An elderly lady has died in Karjanha Municipality of Siraha District after being beaten by her son, who accused her of witchcraft. Sudamadevi Sah Sonar who was 75 years old was seriously injured after her youngest son Ramavatar Sah beat her.
According to the District Police Office, Sudamadevi succumbed to her injuries at the District Hospital, Siraha, on Tuesday. The Superintendent of Police, Uma Shankar Panjiyar stated that Ramavatar had been arrested for his offense and legal punishment procedures for the same were being carried out.
