Kathmandu: There are around 13 Battleground states this Election season in the United States of America, that are considered to be crucial in the determination of this year’s Presidential race.

Also referred to as the “swing states,” this year all eyes were on Ohio (with 18 electoral votes), Iowa (6 electoral votes), Georgia (16 electoral votes), North Carolina (15 electoral votes), Nevada (6 electoral votes), Florida (29 electoral votes), Texas (38 electoral votes), Arizona (11), Minnesota (10 electoral votes), Wisconsin (10 electoral votes), Pennsylvania (20 electoral votes), Michigan (16 electoral votes), and New Hampshire (4 electoral votes).

Ohio (18) has been the state that has backed most winners within Presidential races since the Second World War, except for a single incident when John F. Kennedy won in 1960. Trump had carried the state away from Democratic Nominee Hilary Clinton in 2016. The “presidential fortune teller,” has turned red for the second time, as 94 percent of the votes have been counted Trump bagged the region with a 53.4%, compared to Biden’s 45.2%.

Florida (29), was a state that Trump had to win in order to have a shot at the White House, and now he does. Florida has backed the victories of every Presidential candidate since 1996. The Sunshine state has been won by Trump by a margin of 51.3%, with 47.8%, supporting Biden, as 96% votes have been counted.

Texas (38), was the state that Democrats hoped to turn blue in 2020, however, the Republican Party grabbed a six-Point lead in the “Lone Star State”, with a score of 52.2% in response to the Democratic Party that nabbed 46.4%, securing the state with 83% of the votes being included in the count-up.

Iowa (6) has planted itself on the side of the Republican candidate with 53.2% in support, compared to Biden’s backing of 45%, as 99% of the votes have been counted.

Minnesota (10) has turned blue with the former Vice-President gaining 52.9%, as the Democratic Party was banking on the win in the state, with 90% of the vote count being completed.

New Hampshire (4) has also backed Biden with 53.3% compared to the 45% that the Republican Party won, as 83% votes have been counted as of yet.

Arizona (11) has put itself in the support of Biden with a significant lead of 51%, compared to Trump’s backing of 47.6%, flipping the Republican state in favor of the Democrats. 84% votes in the state have already been counted.

That leaves Pennsylvania (20), Georgia (16), Michigan (16), and North Carolina (15) that are in the present time leaning towards Trump, while Nevada (6) and Wisconsin (10), are leaning towards Biden.
