Prachanda-Nepal in talks immediately after Nembang leaves Khumaltar
Kathmandu. The members of the ruling party, Nepal Communist Party (NCP) have been holding talks on a regular basis due to the internal rift. The increasing tensions between NCP Chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and party chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ have led both the leaders to talk with their confidants and work on their individual strategies.
Pushpa Kamal Dahal had a meeting at Khumaltar on Friday morning with Madhav Kumar Nepal, whereby he talked with the senior NCP leader for an hour. This comes as Dahal also called for an informal meeting of members of the party secretariat, who are close to him, at the NCP headquarters in Dhumbarahi.
Before this meeting, Prachanda had met Prime Minister Oli at Baluwatar. However, after the meeting did not end on a positive note, he held the meeting at Dhumbarahi.
Deputy Parliamentary Party Leader of NCP Subash Chandra Nembang had also reached Khumaltar for the meeting. Nembang, who is considered to be a close aide to Prime Minister Oli, left for Baluwatar after the meeting.
