Dogs returning to the White House
Kathmandu. With Joe Biden winning the 2020 US Presidential election, it is now certain that the dogs will be returning to the White House.
Joe Biden and his wife Jill will now bring two German Shepherds to the president’s residence, the White House. Their two dogs, Champ and Major, will enter the White House in January after the president-elect is sworn in as the president. The dogs will be returning to the White House after four years. President Donald Trump is not very fond of dogs and has not had them in the White House since he became President in January, 2017.
According to the Daily Star, Trump is the only president in decades to not have pets in the White House as most Presidents in recent times had their dogs there throughout their Presidency. Biden’s dog Major will be making another history for being the first rescue dog to live in the White House.
The Biden family had Champ since 2008, and brought Major into their home 2018, from the Delaware Humane Society. Reports claim that Biden’s daughter Ashley was seeking a temporary home for the small dog and so the Biden family decided to bring Major home.
