Nepali football player contracts COVID-19 in Dhaka

Kathmandu. One of the players of the Nepali football team, which is currently in Dhaka to play two friendly matches with Bangladesh, has tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday. All other players of the Nepali team tested negative for the virus.

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), has informed that the infected player is in normal health and has been kept in hospital isolation in Dhaka. He will however miss the first friendly match with Bangladesh on Friday. The next match is scheduled for November 17.

The Nepali players had all tested negative when tested for the infection in Dhaka a week ago. The PCR tests of the players, coaches and other staff of the Nepali team t had been negative for the infection before their departure to Dhaka, according to ANFA.
