NCP Secretariat meeting: Prachanda presents his proposal
Kathmandu. Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, executive chair of Nepal Communist Party (NCP), has presented a proposal at the party secretariat meeting held today after a lengthy tug of war between the two chairs of the party.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha informed about the presentation of the proposal by Prachanda. He told. “Executive Chair Prachanda’s proposal has been distributed among all members of the secretariat for review.” The content of the proposal has not been disclosed, however.
In the meeting, the proposal submitted to NCP Chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli by the majority members of the secretariat to call the secretariat meeting along with the letter written in response by PM KP Sharma Oli and another letter written by Prachanda in response to PM Oli’s letter were distributed to all members of the secretariat.
According to spokesperson Shrestha, the internal party directive issued after the permanent committee meeting on September 11 has also been distributed among the secretariat members.
“The meeting on Friday has prepared the work list of the meeting,” he said. “The most important agenda in the work list is to deliberate upon the main problem seen in the party currently.”
Spokesperson Shrestha informed that PM Oli’s secret meeting with RAW Chief Samant Goel, the motion of no confidence brought against Karnali Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi and the killing of NCP cadre in Parsa will also be the topics of discussion in the meeting. Today’s meeting was adjourned with a consensus to continue the meeting on November 18, as per Shrestha.
