Govt appoints consul generals to San Diego and Colombia
Kathmandu. The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Thursday decided to extend the appointment of Rishi Punakhar Dhakal as the honorary consul general to the US city of San Diego.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhakal’s term of office expired last October, but as no other appointment was made, the government agreed to prolong his tenure for a period of four years. Dhakal’s continuous dedication to his work played a significant role in the cabinet’s decision.
The meeting also decided to appoint Ms. Soraya Caro Vargas, a native citizen of Columbia, to the rank of honorary consul of Colombia, a South American country.
