Kabul, Afghanistan. At least four Afghan soldiers were killed and 5 other sustained serious injuries when a suicide car bomb exploded near an Afghan army outpost in Arghandi area in Paghman district of Kabul province on Friday morning.
According to Al Jazeera, the spokesperson of Afghanistan’s Defense Ministry, Tariq Arian stated that the blast was targeted to the on-duty forces of Afghan National Army.
So far, no terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the blast. However, Afghanistan intelligence agencies suspected that the Taliban could be behind the brutal attack.
The country has seen horrific conflicts in recent months, despite countless meetings in Qatar between government negotiators and the Taliban.
Earlier in September, the Taliban had blamed the Afghan government for not honoring the agreement they had with the United States in February.
Last Month, the Islamic State group sent a suicide bomber into an educational centre in the capital’s Shiite dominated neighborhood of Dasht-e-Barchi, killing 24 students and injuring more than 100.
In a recent attack in Kunduz province, six security force members were killed and 15 were taken captive by the Taliban.
