Oil Lamps sparked two fires in Biratnagar
Biratnagar. The negligence of handling the oil lamps resulted in two huge fires in Biratnagar that burnt goods worth 68 lakhs during Lakshmi Pooja, the third evening of Yama Panchak on Saturday.
The District Police Office in Morang informed that a major fire broke out in a fancy garment shop of Dinesh Agrawal in Traffic Chowk of Biratnagar-10 that destroyed fancy clothes along with the furniture worth 60 lakhs into ashes.
Similarly, another fire was observed in a tin-roof bamboo hut situated on the private land of Abhay Aryal of Biratnagar ward-9. Goods worth 8 lakhs were destroyed during the incident. The hut has been identified as a blanket making small industry.
Nepal Police have urged the people to prevent such fires by consciously celebrate Tihar. RSS.
