Westerlies to bring rain and snow for next three days

Kathmandu. The Department Of Hydrology and Meteorology in a bulletin announced that there is a possibility of rain, lightning and thunder in most parts of Nepal for the next three days.

The Department also announced that the high hills and mountains could experience light to moderate snowfall. Since today morning, the weather in  Karnali, Lumbini, Gandaki and Bagmati province has drastically changed, with rain and snow falling in some areas. The sky in Kathmandu has turned partially cloudy and dark but there has been no rainfall, as of yet.

According to the latest observation of the Meteorological Forecasting Division updated today at 08:45 a.m., the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley is 8.6 Degrees and the maximum temperature is 24.2 Degrees.

The coldest minimum temperature recorded today was 1 degree in Jumla.
