Kathmandu. Letters weighing 42 kilograms have been stuck at the District Post Office as Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has halted Kathmandu-Faplu flights since September 29.

The disruption of the twice-weekly (Sunday and Tuesday) flights has affected passengers and the transport of letters. Due to fewer flights, there is always high passenger pressure in the route.

NAC General Manager Prakash Poudel informed National News Agency (RSS) that lack of staff was to blame for NAC’s inability to continue the service currently.

Private airlines have been operating Kathmandu-Faplu flights without any disturbance, however. Summit Air conducts regular Kathmandu-Faplu flights on Sunday and Tuesday and Tara Air on Monday and Wednesday.
