Dhangadhi. Five persons died in a jeep accident in Baitadi today. The vehicle (Na 1 Ja 2196) headed to Gothalapani from Jhulaghat met an accident at Putka of Dasharath Chand Municipality-10 at around 1 pm on Tuesday, causing five deaths on the spot.
Those killed in the accident are Parvati Chand, 70; Parvati Chand, 75; Bhagirath Pandeya, 77 and Krishna Lawang, 58 of Dasharath Chand Municipality and Kalawati Chand, 75 of Surnaya Rural Municipality, Far Western Province Police Office informed.
Four more have suffered serious injuries and are in critical health condition, SSP Mukesh Kumar Singh, spokesperson for the Provincial Police Office told. The passengers had all returned from India receiving their pensions, Singh informed.
