Kathmandu. The board examinations for class 12 students have commenced today in which a total of 4,32,500 students are writing from 4,105 schools all around the country.
Earlier in April, due to the risk of Covid-19 pandemic, the government had indefinitely postponed the final exams of various levels at schools and universities.
In the third week of October, the National Examination Board rescheduled the exams. The examination centers have been instructed to fully adopt health safety measures while conducting the exams.
According to the chairman of the board Prof Dr Chandra Mani Poudel, only 20 students will be allowed to sit in a hall with at least 2 meters interpersonal distance. They will have to undergo a temperature check, which decides their entry to the hall. It is mandatory for all the students and the invigilators to wear a mask.
The government has made provisions that allow home centers for the students in need. 13,000 students have been allowed to appear in the exams from the district other than their respective schools.
The Board has prepared separate sets of question papers for different provinces and the Kathmandu valley.
