PM Oli readies response for NCP secretariat meeting
Kathmandu. Prime Minister and Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) KP Sharma Oli has readied the responses to be furnished at the meeting of the party secretariat scheduled for Saturday (today).
PM Oli has put forth his views by refuting the proposal and accusations leveled on him by another Chairman of the party Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ at the secretariat meeting held on November 13.
The secretariat meeting is being held at Prime Minister’s residence at 1:00pm on Saturday. Prime Minister’s Press Advisor Surya Thapa informed that PM Oli’s responses were ready. He would make clear the secretariat members with his stand in the meeting.
“PM is ready to challenge the accusations,” Thapa argued. In the November 18 meeting of the party secretariat, PM Oli had sought 10 days time to furnish response to Prachanda’s accusation to him.
The meeting on Saturday is taken as a significant event at a time when the exchange of accusations and their release to the public has created suspicion on party unification.
In the last meeting, PM Oli had argued that if the accusations leveled on him were not justified, the accusers would take responsibility.
Similarly, PM’s advisor Thapa said most of the members of party standing committee and central committee were for unity, consensus and party statute.
In the recent months, the ruling NCP has witnessed intra-party feud over the issues as appointment of ambassadors, Cabinet reshuffle, dispute in Karnali Province, vendetta among party cadres in Tarai districts and RAW Chief’s meeting with PM Oli. (RSS)
