Namkha in Humla becomes coronavirus-free

Humla. Namkha Municipality of northern Humla has become coronavirus free municipality on Sunday.

According to National News Agency (RSS), 44 students from Mahabuddha Secondary School Hostel, who were previously in isolation, were sent home on Sunday, after all of them tested negative on PCR Test.

A few weeks ago, the COVID-19 infection rate was appearing to spar up, but the number of cases decreased suddenly since Sunday. On Sunday, a total of 54 patients were sent home upon recovery.

A few days ago, when the community level PCR testing was held in ward number 4, it did not detect any positive cases.

Corona infection was first seen in the Namkha Municipality on October 7. So far, 66 people have been infected. Only two of the corona patients have suffered serious complications due to which they were taken to Kathmandu.
