Kathmandu. Senior DIG Bishwa Raj Pokharel has been recommended for promotion for the position of AIG of Nepal Police.
Ministry of Home Affairs has informed about the recommendation. The meeting of the recommendation committee on Sunday had forwarded his name.
One more AIG position had recently been added in the Nepal Police along with five DIG positions. Senior DIG Pokharel has been recommended for the newly added position.
Pokharel’s appointment as an AIG would make him the sole contender for the position of IGP, the topmost echelon in Nepal police.
