Another guest from Delhi arrives in Kathmandu
Kathmandu. Vijay Chauthaiwale, Foreign Affairs Dept in-charge of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of India. has arrived in Kathmandu today.
He is the second Indian guest visiting Nepal within two weeks interval. On Nov 26, Indian Secretary of Foreign Affairs Harsh Vardan Shringla had made a two day official visit to Nepal.
On Thursday, Chauthaiwale met Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at Baluwatar. As per Baluwatar source, his visit is focused on strengthening the bilateral relation between India and Nepal. Foreign cell in-charge of BJP Chauthaiwale and PM KP Oli talked about improving the relationship between the two countries, Ram Sharan Bajgain, press coordinator of the prime minister said.
Nepal and India are trying to improve their relation that had been strained by the border disputes and India’s unwillingness to talk on the issue in the past. India, however, has expedited its efforts to begin talks lately, and there have been successive high-level visits to Nepal from India.
