NC takes to street first time against Oli government (Photo feature)
Kathmandu. The main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) has demonstrated against the government in all 77 districts of the country today.
This is probably the first time during KP Sharma Oli’s tenure that the NC has presented itself aggressively against the government.
Thousands of NC cadres and supporters took to the streets today in solidarity against the government.
NC had been irked by the police mistreatment towards its senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel in Tanahun recently and blames the government for its insensitive action.
After having been faced criticisms for not being a strong opponent but just a silent onlooker, NC has demonstrated in the streets against the government this time.
The party says its protest is against corruption, financial irregularities and the dictatorial working style of the Oli government.
