Temperature of Kathmandu plunges to 1.6 degree Celsius
Kathmandu, December 18 : It has been getting cold all over the country including Kathmandu valley in recent days. The temperature in Kathmandu has been recorded at 1.6 degrees celsius on Friday.
The minimum temperature in Kathmandu valley on Thursday was 2.2 degrees celsius. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, it is colder this year than the previous year.
The temperature of Kathmandu valley was 3 degree celsius on December 18 last year. Meteorologist Barun Poudel said that the temperature is increasing and decreasing due to the ‘seasonal effect’.
“The minimum temperature of the Kathmandu valley will remain 1 to 2 degrees celsius for a few days if any new seasonal system is not developed” said Meteorologist Poudel. With the fall in the temperature, the weather has become colder in Kathmandu Valley. Even though it is sunny in the afternoon, it gets colder in the morning and evening.
Similarly, the minimum temperature of Jumla is minus 7.6 degrees celsius and the temperature of Nepalgunj is 9.0 degrees celsius. RSS
