Corona Havoc: Prohibitions at the local level and the closure of educational institutions

Mahendranagar, December 20 : While the government had lose down lockdown for some time ago, the people’s lives were returning to normal in Kanchanpur. The market is completely open and after some time the government allowed the locals to run the school, the locals was operating the school by fulfilling the prescribed criteria. After some of the schools that have come into operation, the schools have been closed again after the teachers and students were detected with the COVID-19 infection.

Similarly, Bhim Dutt Municipality issued a statement two days ago stating that the schools were closed. The Belauri municipality in the Southern region has issued a one-week restraining order in the city on Saturday.

Chief of the Education Development and Coordination Unit, Kanchanpur, Bharat Babu Subedi said that a directive has been issued by the Ministry of Education that schools can be run with the approval of the municipality as per the school operation work framework, 2077 BS.

The Belauri Municipality has stated that a restraining order has been issued from today to December 26 to prevent the further spread of the disease in Belauri.

It has been decided to completely close all government and non-government organizations, financial institutions, educational institutions, businesses, border checkpoints and vehicles in the city, said Mayor Potilal Chaudhary. Dispensaries, oil stories, and cane transportation for sugarcane farmers will remain open.

Similarly, a one-week closure has been imposed in Dodhara Chandani Municipality. According to the municipal office, the decision has been taken to close the municipal area after the COVID-19 spread among the people’s representatives, employees, health workers and the community.

Dil Bahadur Sijali, the spokesperson of the municipality, informed that it was decided to close all the areas except of urgent work. Siddharaj Bhatta, a relative of a COVID-19 patient in Kanchanpur, urged the people not to crowd and take precautions as the infection is spreading in the community.
