Protests in Maitighar against dissolution of the Parliament

Kathmandu, December, 20. Members of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has expressed their dissatisfaction towards the dissolution of the parliament. The members of the party were seen in the streets of Maitighar protesting against the decision of Prime Minister Oli. Prime Minister Oli earlier today morning had announced the dissolution of the parliament.
While students were seen wearing black bands on their heads for the protest, it is said that members of NCP(Maoists) also joined them for the protest. Slogans such as ‘Reject the unconstitutional step of dissolving the parliament’, ‘Reject the totalitarian step’, ‘New version of Poush 1 is the dissolution of Parliament on Poush 5’, ‘Dissolution of Parliament is a betrayal of public opinion’ were held by the protestors.
After the announcement of dissolution, the President has announced two rounds of elections on 30th April and 10th May.
