COVID-19 active cases decreasing: Reports
Kathmandu, December 21 : The COVID-19 tally has reached 2,53772 in Nepal with 2,43,664 cases of recoveries so far. According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 1,097 people have been infected with the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours. Similarly, the number of active cases of COVID-19 across the country is currently 8,320 of which, 265 patients are admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 51 are receiving treatment with ventilator facility.
“In the last 24 hours, in 4,620 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done, an additional 588 people were found to have been infected with SARS-CoV-2” informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperon of the Ministry of Health and Population in the daily press briefing. Likewise, in the last 24 hours, 11 people succumbed to the deadly virus and with this, the number of deaths so far has reached 1,788.
