Preliminary hearing today on writ petitions against dissolution of House of Representatives
Kathmandu, December 23 : A preliminary hearing is being held today on the writ petitions filed against the announcement of the dissolution of the House of Representatives. Out of the 13 petitions, hearing for 12 writ petitions is scheduled for today in a single-judge bench. One petition is scheduled for hearing in the constitutional bench on Friday.
One of the writ petitions to be heard today has been filed by four members of the Parliament . Members of Parliament Dev Gurung, Krishna Bhakta Pokhrel, Shashi Shrestha and Ramkumari Jhakri have filed the petition alleging that they had been chosen to serve the people for five years, but the dissolution of the House of Representatives had violated their fundamental right to work full tenure.
