Panchthar, December 24 : A young man has killed his wife with an axe in Hilihang Rural Municipality-5 Subhang of Panchthar district. 31-year-old Dhan Bahadur Ubharkoti killed his wife Durgamaya, 30 with an axe last night.
DSP Dan Bahadur Thapa, chief of District Police Office, Panchthar, said that Durgamaya’s body was found in his house with an injury on the head. According to the locals, the incident took place at around 1 am last night. Police had reached the spot at 3 am after a neighbor reported the incident.
Dhan Bahadur has absconded and a search is going on. Locals and police estimate that Dhan Bahadur came home after consuming alcohol. The deceased has two sons. The incident is under further investigation, said police. RSS
