Kathmandu, December 25 : The Supreme Court (SC) has issued a show-cause notice against the government’s decision to dissolve parliament. The order was passed by the constitutional bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana while hearing 12 writ petitions on Friday.
At the hearing today, the SC also demanded a copy of the recommendation made by the Council of Ministers for the dissolution of the Parliament and sought information on the number of Members of Parliament (MPs) the parties have in the parliament.
