731 recoveries with 708 new COVID-19 cases

Kathmandu, Dec 29 : A total of 708 new cases of coronavirus was recorded on Tuesday. The total number of COVID-19 infections in Nepal has now reached 2,59,548. According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), the number of active cases in Nepal is 6,396.
In the last 24 hours, 731 people have recovered. Meanwhile, cases of total recoveries have reached 2,51,312. The recovery rate has reached 96.8 per cent.
With the addition of 8 deaths in the last 24 hours, the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 has reached 1840. Similarly, 365 people are in quarantine so far.
6,135 Real-Test Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests have been done in the last 24 hours.
