Rally wearing a Dhoti in support of Prime Minister
Kathmandu, Jan 9: The National youth federation on Saturday organized a rally in support of Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli.
Participants wearing Dhoti, Kurta and Towel displayed written banners “Dhoti, Kurta, Gamcha Madhesi Sanba, and KP Oli Hamni Sabke Jaan Ba”.
After the protest, a mass gathering was held at the National Assembly where Prime Minister addressed the crowd.
The decision of dissolution of the parliament by the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli received by criticisms from around the country. Various rallies, protests and demonstrations are being conducted by the civil society and opposition parties. A written petition has also been filed in the Supreme Court alleging the step of PM as unconstitutional. Replying to which, Oli claimed that the dissolved House of Representatives could return only after the election.
