Horrific honor killing in Turkey rattles civilized world
A case of a horrific honor killing has come forward where the woman has been brutally killed and her boyfriend was raped and murdered by the woman's family
Kathmandu, January 10. A Turkish woman and her boyfriend have been murdered in a case of honor killing. The woman was reportedly forced into an arranged marriage with her cousin after which she ran away with her boyfriend.
The woman’s family family repeatedly searched for their daughter and her whereabouts but was not able to find out until New Year’s celebrations, when the couple was in the village. The woman, Vildan Ince, was 24 and her boyfriend, Osman Celik was 25. The woman’s family then called them for reconciliation after which they butchered Ince whereas stripped, raped and stabbed Celik.
The terrifying incident took place at Bayramozu Village, which lies in the Turkish city of Kirsehir. The family members then buried the bodies at a pit outside the village.
The police was notified when Celik’s parents were worried about his whereabouts. The police then investigated the Ince family, who confessed the heinous crime.
Police have arrested the father, brother, the cousin whom Ince was supposed to marry and two other relatives of Ince in connection with the crime.
