Election 2020 Biden
Kathmandu, January 11. Speculations are rife that the inauguration ceremony of US president-elect Joe Biden is in danger. Supporters of President Trump had vandalized Capitol Hill and took to violence last Wednesday, in which five people were killed.
On that day, it is said that a pick-up truck was parked near the Capitol building, where 11 bombs and ammunition were found. Federal prosecutors have found out that the truck owner was from Alabama and have arrested him. A total of 11 homemade bombs, an assault rifle and a handgun was confiscated.
According to a CNN report, Nancy Pelosi, House Speaker was the target on the day of the violence. The arms and ammunition were to be handed over to the supporters of Trump.
Investigations are still going on if the attacker/s could cause similar disturbances in Biden’s inauguration ceremony. Security has been tightened in Washington, Georgia, Kansas, Ohio, Michigan, California, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Wyoming and Texas.
