Nepal, India foreign ministers to meet
Kathmandu, January 15. Nepali Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali, who is currently in India for the sixth meeting of Nepal-India Joint Commission, will meet his counterpart Minister of External Affairs of India, Subramaniam Jaishankar. They both will meet at Hyderabad House today.
According to the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi, the meeting will be attended by Nepali Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal, Nepali Ambassador to India Nilambar Acharya, Indian External Affairs Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringala and Indian Ambassador to Nepal Vinay Mohan Kwatra.
A meeting is scheduled today under the co-chairmanship of both the countries’ foreign ministers. The topics of discussion in the meeting will include that of trade, transit, energy, border issue, COVID-19 cooperation, physical infrastructure, communication network, investment, agriculture, tourism and culture concerning Nepal and India.
The embassy has said that the meeting will also be attended by senior officials of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Commerce, Finance, Water Resources, Energy and Railways of both the countries.
