Migrant workers leaving UK in large numbers

Kathmandu, January 16. A large number of migrant workers have found to be leaving the United Kingdom (UK). According to a study by the UK’s Economic Statistics Centre of Excellence (ESCoE), as much as 1.3 million people have left UK between the period of July 2019-September 2020.
The number of people leaving the capital, London is 700,000 during the same period. This outflow of people is said to be the largest since World War II.
The coronavirus pandemic, Brexit and unemployment are said to be some of the causes of the outflow of people.
Experts from the study have said that while some migrants may return after the pandemic eases, many may not return.
