Kathmandu, Jan 17 : The national count has reached 267,322 , with 266 new cases of the novel coronavirus confirmed on Sunday.
A total of 266 persons were found infected with SARS-CoV-2 in 3,508 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests conducted in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
Similarly, there are 3,919 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation. A total of 400 COVID-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. Nepal has now recorded 2,61,444 cases of recoveries.
Five people have succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours and with this, the national COVID-19 related death tally has reached 1,959. A total of 221 persons are in quarantine.
