Kathmandu-Pokhara Night Tourist Bus Service Resumes
Kathmandu, January 19 : Tourist night bus service has resumed from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The Desh Darshan Bus Service Pvt Ltd started this service from Monday with the objective of promoting the domestic tourism as well as helping revive the tourism sector that has been affected by COVID-19.
The tourist bus leaves Kathmandu for Pokhara from local Bouddha at 6.30pm while the bus leaving Pokhara for Kathmandu will depart only at 7.30 pm.
Executive Director of Desh Darshan Bus Service Pvt Ltd, Shreekanta Acharya said they have purchased 16 buses at an investment of Rs 120 million for operating the tourist night bus service. He said luxury travel services are provided to both domestic and foreign tourists.
Acharya shared that they are operating day and night bus service targeting the major tourist destinations in the country. The transportation company has been operating tourist night bus service to Kathmandu-Janakpur, Kathmandu-Sunauli and Kathmandu-Lumbini before this.
Marketing manager of the Pvt Ltd, Pralhad Lohani said that all the health safety protocols have been followed both for the tourists and the bus service staff.

Around 100 tourist buses have been providing day and night service from Kathmandu to various tourism destinations, including Pokhara, Chitwan, Lumbini and Janakpur, at present. (RSS)
